- Bethany Lutheran College sponsored the Lutheran Choir Festival where 43 choirs with nearly 700 voices participated in the performance at the Mankato Armory in 1941. Miss Idella Quill was the accompanist, Mr. Joel Ingebritson was the festival manager, and Mr. Oswald Hoffmann was the director.
